Habeeb Gobir is a Nigerian lawyer with a strong focus on energy, private capital, intellectual property, digital assets management and emerging technologies. He began his legal career as a trainee associate at Templars, one of Nigeria’s leading law firms, where he built a strong foundation in corporate and commercial law before focusing on innovation-driven legal solutions.
Habeeb also served as a Senior Associate at Iduh Energies, where he led regulatory engagement and compliance strategies with Nigeria’s electricity regulators (NERC and ESERC), negotiated partnership frameworks with global energy technology providers, and supported energy transition initiatives.
Beyond corporate practice, Habeeb has worked extensively with venture-backed startups, Web3 companies, and innovators, guiding them through intellectual property protection, contract structuring, investment readiness, and compliance. He currently serves as Head of Africa Region at Skate Chain and Head of Community at HeLa Labs, both Singapore-based, while continuing his legal advisory practice.
As the founder of Blockblista Advisory, a web3 advisory firm, he advises startups and investors on scaling innovative projects in Africa through sound legal and regulatory frameworks.
He has collaborated with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on policy and awareness initiatives and has authored over 20 published works on intellectual property, technology, and innovation law, including contributions to WIPO Magazine.
